Additionally, around 60% of shoes produced worldwide are made from synthetic materials, which are particularly harmful to the environment. That’s why we are dedicated to reducing this waste, ensuring we do our part in minimising harm to the planet and not contributing to the growing landfill crisis.
At Fairfax & Favor, we believe that every pair of shoes deserves a second chance. By giving these shoes a new life, we contribute to the circular economy, reduce waste, and ensure that our products have a lasting, positive impact on the environment. Keep our beautifully crafted and timeless styles in circulation, ready to be loved again.

The key objective of EarthLung’s Mangrove restoration project in Kenya is to uplift financially disadvantaged coastal communities by revitalising the mangrove forests aiming to ‘break the cycle of poverty’. Through the restoration of the biodiverse estuary, this initiative will not only establish new fishing grounds but also generate supplementary sources of income. Moreover, the rejuvenated forests will serve as a protective barrier against storm surges. For every 10,000 trees planted, 20 work days are created for local community members, and an estimated 0.31 tonnes of CO2 sequestered per tree.

Each item undergoes a meticulous inspection by our Quality Assurance team, who assess the necessary repairs or refurbishments. If any repairs are required, we entrust them to our trusted partner, The Boot Repair Company, where skilled craftsmen restore them using authentic Fairfax & Favor components. The items are then graded as B, C, or D, depending on their condition, the extent of wear, and the level of restoration needed. While the grade reflects the item’s price, rest assured that every piece is carefully refurbished, ensuring it’s ready to offer many more years of stylish wear.
